A couple of years back, my old company threw a little SXSW party with our friends from Stereogum. It was the last year that “day parties” could still be a rogue force in launching a band/blog/product, and we hit that shit HARD. Our headliner that day was the venerable Mr. Ted Leo and his Pharmacists, and it was hands down the best set I saw at all of “South By” that year. There are some pretty sweet backstage pics, too.

Needless to say, this installment of Calendar Girl is pointed straight at Saturday night’s post-Lollapalooza party at the Double Door here in Chicago. The folks at Rhapsody have secured Ted & Co. to lead the heatstroked masses into the very depths of exhaustion, and I can’t wait to be one of the last kids they peel off that grimy club’s floor.
