Look out, Allman Brothers…

I know this marks the second time in a week that I’ve mentioned this guy, but I was cleaning out the cellar that is the “Music” file folder on my laptop when I rediscovered a forgotten gem that just screams “I am so glad I went to that lame party in Saturday night so as to avoid doing something like this with that four track under my bed.”

A bit of background: I’ve written about David Vandervelde fairly recently, someone who noticed sent me this little nugget of total suck to both ruin my faith in (unsolicited) musical collaboration and to make me laugh my ass off. It’s the singer from Louis XIV singing some wrist-slitting crap about “love breaking” over David’s lovely instrumental cut (“Moonlight Instrumental”) from The Moonstation House Band. According to a reliable source, the head of Atlantic Records felt a little differently than I do about it and was thrilled at the possibility of an authorized Vandervelde-Louis collaboration.

Ugh. Have a listen!
